A group of compact, disease-resistant groundcover roses from Anthony Tesselaar that bloom non-stop from spring to fall without deadheading, spreading 3-4 feet wide in full sun.

The Flower Carpet Rose Group from Anthony Tesselaar Flowers is built around a simple proposition: low-care color from spring through frost. These small shrubs, 2-4 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide, spread in a bushy, ground-hugging habit and produce single to semi-double flowers in a range of colors continuously through the season without any deadheading required. The glossy green foliage stays clean and attractive well into autumn, and the plants tolerate partial shade, though flower production drops with less light.

Provide fertile, moist, well-drained soil with a slightly acidic pH. No routine pruning is needed, but removing damaged or diseased canes keeps plants tidy, and a hard prune in late winter produces a shorter, denser mound. Mulching around the base helps retain moisture through summer. Watch for rust, powdery mildew, and black spot despite the group's overall disease resistance, and note that deer and rabbits will browse them. Bees are regular visitors. The group suits mass plantings, border fronts, containers, and cottage or pollinator gardens where reliable, undemanding coverage is the goal.
