All That Glows® Viburnum
Viburnum deamii All That Glows® 'SMVDBL'
The designated pollinator partner for All That Glitters, All That Glows brings its own cream flower cymes and glossy foliage to the pair, completing the equation for a generous blue berry crop.
All That Glows is a compact arrowwood selection that exists in a productive partnership with All That Glitters viburnum. While it holds its own as an attractive 4 to 6 foot rounded shrub with glossy leaves and cream flower cymes in May and June, its primary role is to provide the pollen that triggers reliable berry production in its partner. The resulting blue-black berries ripen in fall and are sought out by bees and birds through the season.
Hardy from zone 5 to 8 and deer resistant, All That Glows fits naturally into shrub borders, pollinator gardens, and foundation plantings where a companion pair planting makes sense. The two plants are sometimes sold together in the same pot, marketed as Viburnum Glitters and Glows, which is the straightforward solution for gardeners who want fruit without having to source the pair separately. Give both moist, well-drained soil and sun to partial shade for best results.
